The Church in the Wildwood
These are pictures of Reeds Mill Church, located in Phillips, Maine. The church was built in 1892 by members of the Church of Christ who had been saving up for it for 61 years. Services stopped in 1903. The church has no electricity. It is heated by a wood stove and lit by gas lamps.
Locals re-opened it over twenty years ago. Hymn services and prayer meetings are held semi regularly. I was married in this church, so it holds a special place in my heart.
